Colorado is home to approximately 500,000 Latinas between the ages of 15-35 that will have the opportunity to change the leadership landscape to reflect a more equitable democracy. Understanding this potential, Latinas LEAD was created to catalyze the power of community and philanthropy to strengthen the leadership development process of Latinas so that they can drive social change.
Latinas LEAD catalyzes the philanthropic nature of Latinas who value identity, culture and giving back to their communities. This initiative funds leadership projects and programs, cultivates networking opportunities, broadens opportunities for women through the Las Mujeres Valientes fellowship, and serves as host to the annual Latinas LEAD Power Summit.
In addition, Latinas LEAD awards community grants through generous support from Latina leaders and allies. We believe that the leadership mindset begins early and requires all of us putting in our best efforts to connect girls and women to resources, opportunities and leadership pathways so that we can use our skills, talents, and voice to positively impact the community.
For the 2019 cycle, Latinas LEAD Will fund programs for leadership development for women 15-65+, funding innovative projects or programs that encompass the values of educational attainment, career development, financial empowerment, civic leadership, or multi-generational approach to leadership development.
