2018 Forums

Annually, the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado (LCFC) conducts a Telling Our Story forum to convene community leaders, policy and decision makers, and stakeholders to address an issue that is pertinent to the community. The forum elevates and addresses critical issues in the Latino community in a thought-provoking way. [REGISTER]

The LCFC believes that by stretching people’s beliefs around an issue they are empowered to act in a coordinated way which leads to collective power and social change. In addition to our statewide forum, this year we are holding three mini-forums throughout Colorado (Alamosa, Glenwood Springs & Fort Morgan) to provide expanded opportunities for Latinos.

This year’s forums entitled the Force of a United Voice, La Fuerza de Una Voz Unida will focus on igniting and building the civic power in Latino communities by equipping participants with traditional civic engagement tools as well as other non-traditional tools that incorporate the arts, culture, storytelling and narrative building.

Forum discussions will include:
Latino Civic Power: Past, Present and Future
  • Movement Building
  • Unification of Latinos throughout Colorado
  • Latino National Civic Landscape
The forum brings together local, regional and national leaders to:
  • Engage participants in framing a new narrative for Latinos
  • Participate in thought provoking discussions
  • Inspire people to act
